- Email address (for Magic Link authentication)
- Display name and profile picture (if you sign in with Google or Discord)

- Game replays (if you choose to save them)

We automatically collect:
- Device type and browser information
- Anonymous usage analytics

Cookies & Local Storage
Essential Storage
Quantris uses browser localStorage for functionality that is strictly necessary to operate the game:
- Your settings and preferences (audio, controls, theme)
- High scores and game progress
- Authentication session tokens
- Your analytics consent choice
These items do not require consent because the game cannot function without them.
Analytics Storage (requires consent)
When you accept analytics, we store:
- A randomly generated anonymous user ID (
quantris.user_id) - Firebase Analytics cookies used for session and event tracking
No analytics identifiers are created or persisted until you grant consent. We use Google Consent Mode v2 to ensure that Firebase Analytics respects your choice — when consent is denied, Google receives only cookieless pings with no personally identifiable information.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides enterprise-grade security. We use encryption in transit and at rest. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Supabase - Database and authentication
- Google Sign-In - Optional authentication method
- Discord Sign-In - Optional authentication method
- Firebase Analytics (Google) - Anonymous usage analytics, subject to your consent choice. Firebase Analytics is covered by Google's Firebase Privacy Policy. We use Google Consent Mode v2 to gate data collection behind your consent.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Opt out of analytics at any time using the Privacy toggle in Settings > Gameplay, or by declining the consent banner on your first visit
